my Story:

Why I founded Forensics Unlocked

Hey there — and welcome to Forensics Unlocked.

I’ve been working on this website for what feels like forever. It started quietly — just me, my dad, and the stories he used to tell me about my grandpa. Somewhere in those long conversations, something began to take shape. Not out of finding closure, but because there wasn’t any.

Watching my dad live with unanswered questions changed me. It showed me what grief can do — how it lingers, how it reshapes the people we love. But it also taught me something powerful: that truth has its own kind of tenderness. It doesn’t erase the pain, but it helps it make sense.

My father never got the closure he deserved, and I think that stayed with me in ways I didn’t understand at the time. Maybe that’s why I found myself drawn to forensics — to the pursuit of truth, and the hope that it can help others heal. That’s where the idea for this space began.

This website is my first step into that world. It’s not perfect, but it’s honest. It’s built from the same mix of curiosity, love, and loss that started this journey in the first place.

If you’ve found your way here, I hope you feel a little seen, a little less alone, and maybe even a little inspired. To those who have lost someone you love dearly, may you find hope amid the ruins.

Forensics Unlocked is all yours, Welcome to the beginning.

With all my heart,

Yanbo
